Johnny Matthew Cox, Sr.,55, of Moultrie, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, April 16, 2021 in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Stephan Massey officiating.
Born on September 17, 1965 in Tifton, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Donald Cox, Sr. and Charlie Irene Stapleton Cox. He was Self Employed as a construction roofer and of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ila Juanita Massey Cox; daughter, Dovie Cox; brother, James Donald Cox, Jr.; sister, Cynthia Irene Cox Williams.
Mr. Cox is survived by his son, Johnny Matthew Cox, Jr. and wife Ashley of Moultrie; sister, Milbra Collen Hiers Keigans of Norman Park; grandchildren, Alizabeth Woodard and Eli Johnson; aunts, Linda Wiard and husband Bobby Joe of Ellenton and Judy Stapleton Smith of Tifton.
