John "Jon Jon" Glover

John “Jon Jon” Ernest Glover, 57, of Norman Park, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at his residence.

A celebration of life will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, September 20, 2026, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Brandon Murkerson officiating. Trace Glover, Rowdy Carter, Luis Zamora, Kenny Cantrell, Jay Powell, Levi Jones, Jayce Powell, and Kofi Jenkins will be honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

He was born on April 23, 1969, in Moultrie, to Louise Dyer Glover and the late Willie Carl Glover.

Jon Jon found some of his greatest joy in the simple things in life. He loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Whether he was out in the woods, on the water, or sharing stories about his latest adventure, he was happiest surrounded by nature and the people he loved.

But nothing brought Jon Jon more happiness than spending time with his grandbabies. He cherished every moment with them—the laughter, the hugs, the memories, and the precious moments that will live on in their hearts. His love for his family was evident in the time he gave, the stories he shared, and the memories he created.

Jon Jon will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his devotion to his family, and the special place he held in the hearts of his grandbabies. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he made and the love he gave will remain forever.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

In addition to his mother, Louise Glover; Jon Jon is survived by his wife, Karen Elaine Simmons Glover; sons, Tyler Glover(Kaity Thompson ) and Trace Glover; brothers, Allen Holder(Kay Holloway), Jack Holder and wife Sherry, Bill Holder and wife Victoria, and Sharon Hickman; stepchildren, Jay Powell and wife Ashley, Levi Jones(Amber Williams), and Tiffany Fox and husband, John; grandchildren, Jayce Powell, Aisley Powell, Jennings Powell, Charley Ray Fox, Liam Fox, and Tripp Jones and a sister on the way; nieces and nephews, Brandon Hickman and wife Melanie, Blake Hickman, Brandon Gerardi, L.A. Campbell, Lauren Holder, Garrett Lenz, Samantha Holder, Brittany Desha, Hazel Marie Martinez, Taylor Rehberg, Kristie Murkerson, Dana Ward, and Becca Holder; and several great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
