Jerry Paul Young, Sr.

Jerry Paul Young, Sr., 85, of Norman Park, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Julian Griner officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. John Carpino, Jr., Jerry Dewayne Williams, Bill Strange, Shawn Young, Garrett Hegwood, and Evan Carpino will serve as pallbearers.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home.

Born June 9, 1941, in Moultrie, Georgia to the late James Boswell Young and Bertie Lee Williams Young. Mr. Young was the General Superintendent in a construction Company, Alcon for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pearl Manders Young; son, Jerry Paul Young, Jr.; and sister, Linda Young.

Mr. Young is survived by his son, Greg Young and wife, Tracy of Foley Alabama; daughters, Regina L. Young Carpino and husband John of Norman Park and Katrina L. Young of Moultrie; grandchildren, Bill Strange, Chris Carpino, Evan Carpino, Kyler Young, Shawn Young, Garrett Hegwood, and Andrew Hegwood; great-grandchildren, Jordan Strange, Jadyn Strange, Rowan Carpino; sister, Carol Jo Young Snell and husband Freddy of Dothan Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.
