Jerry Dewayne Richter, Sr.

Jerry Dewayne Richter, Sr., 60, of Moultrie, died Monday, May 13, 2024, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with Reverend Trey Eakins officiating. Jerry Dewayne Richter, Jr., Kamden Richter, David Wright, Charles Sloan, John Michael Richter, and Will Rowell, will all serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service, at the Pinecrest Memory Gardens.

Born on August 13, 1963, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Jimmie Dean Richter, Sr., and Mary Ellen Morrow Richter. He was a dedicated cook for Dalton’s Chicken before retiring and was of the Baptist faith. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Devon Richter.

Mr. Richter is survived by his loving son, Jerry Dewayne Richter, Jr. of Moultrie; grandchildren, Kamden Dean Richter, Kolten Devon Richter, Marti Sophia Smith, Legacy Jo Lamb, Brantley Drew Richter; brothers, Jimmie Dean Richter, Jr. and wife Sheila of Marietta and Donald Kyle Richter and wife Susan of Moultrie; special aunt, Sandra Key Carter of Ocala, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
