Jerry L. Jenkins

Jerry L. Jenkins, 70, of Moultrie, passed away on Saturday, August, 2, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Stanley Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Arnold Dell, Otis Bryant, Scott Bivins, Brad Mims, Mark Ayers, and Buddy Peacock will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 PM in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

Born on August 24, 1954, in Moultrie, Georgia, to the late Lynwood Melvin Jenkins and Louise Norris Jenkins, Mr. Jenkins was an avid outdoorsman whose love for nature was only matched by his love for adventure. He was a man who lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment. In addition to his love for nature, Mr. Jenkins was a NASCAR fan. His enthusiasm for racing was contagious, and he was often found cheering on his favorite drivers. Many cherished memories were made as he shared his passion for the sport with friends and family, always making race days feel like a celebration. He loved his family more than anything and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by his significant other, Sue Jones of Moultrie; daughters, Ashley Jenkins and John of Moultrie, Melissa Shields and husband Brent of Columbus, Mississippi, Casey Jo Miles and husband Bobby of Leesburg, and Heather Knight and husband Jabo of Moultrie; grandchildren, Brayden Shields, Trevyn Shields, Colsyn Shields, Tanna Knight, Lane Duckworth, Rylan Duckworth, Levi Bozeman, Gracie Miles, Serena Miles, Madison Jenkins, Eli Jenkins, and Karli; and brother, Tommy Jenkins and wife Vickie of Moultrie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home and Crematory.
