Born on November 24, 1946, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Clifford Jarvis and Vircie Mae Beverly Javis. He loved building just about anything and found great satisfaction in creating with his hands. Whether it was constructing homes, crafting beautiful furniture, or taking on a new woodworking project, he approached every task with skill, patience, and pride. Among all of his creations, perhaps his most treasured was the remarkable replica of the Moultrie Courthouse, meticulously crafted from thousands of matchsticks—a true testament to his talent, dedication, and attention to detail.
He also enjoyed tinkering as a mechanic, always ready to repair or improve something that needed fixing. He found joy in gardening, working alongside Lynn on his many projects, and lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. Above all, his greatest pride and deepest love were reserved for his family. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, creating a legacy of hard work, generosity, and love that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Earl Jarvis.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years Mary Jackson Jarvis of Moultrie; sons, Tony Jarvis and wife Matasha, Lynn Jarvis and wife Tammy; daughters, Melissa Green and husband, Randall of Norman Park, Joann Castillo and husband, Joey of Thomasville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold Jarvis and wife, Judy, Jimmy Jarvis and wife Peggy, Donnie Jarvis and wife Jennifer of Dublin, Ken Jarvis and wife Elizabeth, Michael Jarvis and wife Mary; sister, Linda Roberts and husband, Don of Crosland; special dog, Princess.
