Jan Clair Bridges, 73, of Moultrie passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on June 25, 2025.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Jan Clair was the daughter of the late George Lamar Bridges and Martha Kirkley Bridges of Moultrie. She was preceded in death by her brother, Marion Kirkley Bridges, and her niece, Angela Paige Bridges.

She is survived by her longtime partner, Norm Hale, of Sturgis, South Dakota, step-daughter Winnie Adcock Angelillo and husband Rocco of Valdosta, three step-grandchildren, Rocco Leo Angelillo III and wife Stephanie of NC, Christina Angelillo Roche and husband Myles of VA, and Alexandria Lea Angelillo of GA, and 5 step-great-grandchildren.

Jan Clair earned her LPN from Valdosta State College in 1983. She followed her passion and was a nurse at the Adcock Orthopedic Clinic in Moultrie, Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, and Tallahassee Memorial. A move to Atlanta changed her career path, and she became a manager for the Peasant Restaurant Group. By the end of this chapter, she had ascended to be General Manager for Darryl’s Restaurant & Bar in Knoxville, TN. She took up her passion once more, earning an RN degree from Carson Newman College in Tennessee. She returned to Moultrie in 2003 and served as a registered nurse at Colquitt Regional Medical Center until her retirement in 2013.

Jan had a strong spirit and a love for animals (especially cats and horses), gardening, motorcycles, the beach, boating, and exploring nature.
