James Smith
James “Jim” Thomas Smith, Sr., 78, of Doerun, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Doerun City Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating.
Born on August 13, 1942 in Columbus, Georgia. He was the son of the late Luther Smith and Sybil Strickland Smith. He was a mechanic at the Marine Base and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his son, James Thomas Smith, Jr. of Boston; daughter, Kavis Janae Spears of Albany; and grandchildren, Dana Jeriel Lackey of Albany, and Carla Gjmmarti of Vienna, Australia.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
