James Abram Nipper Jr.

James Abram Nipper Jr., 65, of Moultrie, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at his residence. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Schley Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Morey will officiate. Pallbearers will be Glen Tendarzis, Eric Lawson, Lonnie Nipper and Chris Tendarzis. Mr. Nipper was born June 20, 1946, in Moultrie, son of the late James Abram Nipper Sr. and Ruby Russell Nipper. He was a truck driver and an Army veteran who served two tours in Vietnam. A member of Schley Baptist Church, he served as the church's treasurer. Survivors include his wife, Diane Nipper of Moultrie; two sons, Lonnie Nipper and wife Penny of Atalla, Ala., and Chris Nipper and wife Raney of Dallas, Ga.; three daughters, Jackie Nipper DeAlejandros and husband Edward, Callie Nicole Nipper of Moultrie and Mary Ann Strickland of Panama City, Fla.; and grandchildren, Michael and Scotty Street, Darbi and Nadia Strickland, Seth and Jordan Nipper, and Jacob, Ethan and Ava DeAlejandros.
