James Loyd "Pulpwood" Murphy MOULTRIE - James Loyd "Pulpwood" Murphy, 69, of Moultrie, died Sunday, Nov. 8. 2015, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiatiing. Born on Feb. 3, 1946, in Dooley County, Vienna, Ga., he was the son of Wheeler William Murphy and Mary Ethel Jones Murphy and was a truck driver for Wells Aluminum. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Murphy; and a sister, Betty Castelberry. Survivors include his son, James Elton Murphy of Moultrie; his daughter, Debra Gail Murphy of Moultrie; brothers, Charles Murphy, and Larry Murphy and wife Annette of Moultrie; sisters, Mary Wright and husband Bob of Norman Park, and Carolyn Smith and husband Don of Norman Park; seven grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
