James S. Miles

James Stewart Miles, 88, of Moultrie, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Agape Health and Rehab. There will be a graveside service held Wednesday July 5, 2017 at 11:00am at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.He was born on January 2, 1929 in Thomasville to the late Isaac Daniel Miles and Janie Mae Miles. He worked as a general contractor and was a member of Christian Crusade Church.  He was preceded in death by his wives, Dorothy Miles, and Diane Miles; brothers, Isaac Daniel Miles Jr, Thomas Daniel Miles, Edward Miles and Charles Buddy Miles; sisters, Martha Hamlin, Christine Harris, Myrtle Sutter, and Vera Trowell; step-son, Wilburn Cochran. Survivors include his step sons, Dewey Miles of Richmond Texas, Thomas Miles of Webster Texas; sisters, Daisy Burcynski of Millport New York, Irene Singletary of Sparta Georgia; a step daughter, Kathy Tevdovich of Houston Texas; numerous step grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
