James Edward Hester

James Edward Hester, 83, of Pontotoc, Mississippi, passed away, on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at his home.
Mr. Hester was born on July 20, 1938, in Pavo, Georgia, to the late Ruby Lee Odom and James Madison Hester. He worked in the restaurant business and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his, daughters, Michelle Curtis and husband Troy, Shelia Brown and husband Billy, and Teresa Welch and husband Steve; sons, Anthony Hester and James Brandon Hester and wife Miranda; brother, Paul Hester; sisters, Mrya Hall, Shirley Lujan and Diane Spell; special friends, Ann, Paula and Bobby; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, John Hester and Merle Hester.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Private interment will follow into the Lebanon Cemetery in Pavo.
