James Lavon Hart Sr.

James Lavon Hart, Sr., 71, of Moultrie, passed away, on Monday, March 28, 2022, surrounded by his loving children.
Born on April 17, 1950, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Joel Chantler Hart and Clarice Herndon Hart. He was retired from Colquitt County Road and Bridges and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Hart is survived by his son, Lavon Hart, Jr. of Hahira; daughter, Melissa Kay Alford of Hahira; brothers, Charlie “Gene” Hart and wife Janie of Moultrie, and Joel “Randall” Hart and wife Jan of Berlin; sister, Margie Hart Owens and husband Gerald of Fort Payne, Alabama; and grandchildren, Zachary Alford, Nicholas Hart, and Preston Hart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Todd Hart; and grandson Bradley Cole Hart.
Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Sardis Church Cemetery with Bro. Klay Luke officiating.
