Harvey Douglas Kilgore

Harvey Douglas Kilgore, Sr., 82, of Pavo, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Archbold Medical Center in Quitman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Emerald Hill Church with Rev. Greg Player officiating. Interment will follow at Emerald Hill Church Cemetery. Trey Whiddon, Lee Layton, Daniel Swymer, and Stephen Swymer will serve as pallbearers.
Born on July 15, 1938 in Colquitt Co., Georgia. He was the son of the late Harvey Wilson Kilgore and Mary Francis Tinsley Kilgore. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo Boyd Kilgore; sons, Harvey Douglas Kilgore, Jr., Joey Tucker Kilgore, and Troy Dale Kilgore; brothers, Dennis Kilgore, and Lonnie Kilgore.
Mr. Kilgore is survived by his daughters, Melissa Swymer and husband Danny of Pavo, Mary Whiddon and husband Chuck of Ochlocknee, Sharon Snellgrove and husband Elvis of Pavo, and Regina Parker of Thomasville; brothers, Raymond Kilgore and wife Ruby of Pavo, Roger Kilgore and wife Tina of Cairo, and James Kilgore of Moultrie; sisters, Betty Dukes and husband Earnie of Coolidge, Laverne Yawn of Moultrie, and Alice Wade of Moultrie; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
