Grace Ella Carlton

Grace Ella Abercrombie Carlton, 102, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Pruitt Health and Rehab in Lilburn, Georgia.
Graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with Rev. Ken Anderson officiating.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
Born on October 26, 1919, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John Stephens Abercrombie and Effie Bobo Abercrombie. She was a trailblazer for Colonial Dairy for 30 years. She was a very active member of The Pink Ladies at Palmyra Hospital, her sorority Beta Sigma, and her church. Mrs. Carlton was raised at Temple Baptist Church in Murphy, Georgia where she was baptized and then became a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Redus Albert Carlton; brother, Marvin Stephen Abercrombie; sisters, Ruth Abercrombie Murphy, Louise Abercrombie Owens, and Georgia Abercrombie Jackson.
Mrs. Carlton is survived by her sons, James Steven Carlton and wife Cheryl of Stone Mountain, and Kenneth Redus Carlton and wife Linda of Clayton; grandchild, Richard Moncus; great-grandchildren, Shawn Tison, Drake Tison, and Kayleigh Moncus; great great grandchildren, Logan and Carson Tison.
