Gloria A. Penley

Gloria Alvarez Penley, 70, of Moultrie, passed away at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on Friday, August 1, 2025.

Born October 3, 1954, in Queens, New York, she was the daughter of Dora Santos Chance of Florida and the late Modesto Alvarez. Ms. Penley was a dental hygienist. She loved music, dancing, and animals.

She was preceded in death by her father, Modesto Alvarez; her brother, Michael Alvarez; and her stepbrothers, Donald Chance and Ronnie Chance.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sons, Michael Rodriguez and wife DeAna of Beverly Hills, Florida, Anthony Rodriguez and wife Christy of Raiford, Florida; daughters, Melissa Slanker and husband Robert of Hernando, Florida, Brandie Ward and husband Dale of Wildwood, Florida; brother, Ronald Alvarez and wife Tawanna of Slyvester, Georgia; step-brother, Michael Chance of Jacksonville, Florida; Sister-in-law, Elly Chance of Jacksonville, Florida and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
