George Lawhorn

George Thomas Lawhorn, Sr., 82, of Norman Park, died Saturday, June 8, 2024, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Jeremy Gray, Howard Gray, Dykes Hurst, Jake Hurst, Chris Conger, and Cameron Conger will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Paulk’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Mr Lawhorn was born in Waycross, Georgia, on July 18, 1941.  He served in the United States Army and worked in construction. He was a member of Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Betty June Baker Lawhorn.

He is survived by his sons, George Lawhorn, Jr. and Kathi of Norman Park and Roger Lawhorn and wife Judy of Ohio; sisters Georgia Hough, Beth Smith, and Punk Hampton; and several grandkids and great-grandkids.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
