Gary Eugene Adams

Gary Eugene Adams, 78, of Norman Park, was surrounded by his family at home at the time of his passing on November 4, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, Hwy 37 East, Moultrie, Georgia, on Friday, November 7, 2025, with Reverend Andy Cashwell officiating. Pallbearers will be Wayne Odom, Lindsey Willis, Carl Horne, Kevin Belflower, James Lastinger, Tanner Megahee, Ty Megahee, and Joseph Lewis.

Interment will follow at Big Creek Cemetery, Hwy 319 South, Coolidge, Georgia.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at 1:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home Chapel.

Born May 9, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, Gary was the son of the late Eugene Adams and Virginia Johns Adams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Adams Lowe.

Gary enjoyed farming and dedicated his life to raising cows on the family farm. He served as Deacon of Norman Park First Baptist Church and in the Georgia National Guard. He was an avid quail hunter, a small aircraft pilot, and enjoyed his life with family and friends. Gary was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church of Moultrie, Georgia. He stressed faith, family, and friends in his daily life. His easygoing nature will be remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Gene Megahee, Jr., and Tom Megahee.

Survivors include his loving wife Ann Megahee Adams of Norman Park, brother-in-law, Jeff Megahee, sister-in-law Dede Megahee Hall (Greg), nephew Tanner Megahee (Kacey), nephew Ty Megahee (Susan), niece Josi Megahee Lewis (Joseph), and several nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
