Faye Brown Bozeman Smith

Faye Brown Bozeman Smith, 84, of Moultrie, died Thursday, July 16, 2026, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Julian Griner officiating. A private family interment will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born on September 17, 1941, in Ellenton, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Simon Gaston Brown and Sally Killebrew Brown. Mrs. Smith dedicated her life to caring for children as the proud owner of Small World Daycare. She had a special gift for making every child feel loved, safe, and encouraged. For her, caring for children was more than a job—it was her calling and her greatest joy.

Some of Mrs. Smith's proudest moments came years later, when the children she had cared for returned as adults to visit her. Seeing the lives they had built and knowing she had played a small part in their journey filled her heart with happiness and reminded her of the lasting impact of her love and guidance.

Outside of the daycare, Mrs. Smith was a devoted Colquitt County Packer fan. She rarely missed a game listening on the radio and enjoyed cheering on her favorite team with the same enthusiasm and spirit she brought to every aspect of her life.

Mrs. Smith will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering dedication to children, and the countless lives she touched. Her legacy of love, compassion, and care will continue to live on in the hearts of the families and children who were blessed to know her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bennett Gene Bozeman and Ricky Nelson Smith; and sister, Ruby Lee Brown Roberts.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Eric Bozeman and wife Christy of Cordele; daughter, Tammy L. Weaver of Tifton; grandchildren, Ben Weaver and wife, Leslie, Peyton Bozeman, Reagan Bozeman; great-grandchildren, Memphis and Hazel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
