Donna Suzanne Durham

Donna Suzanne Durham, 46, of Moultrie, died on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Heritage Church in Moultrie, Georgia, with Reverend Dennis Taylor, Reverend Mark Cunningham, and Mr. Donnie Edwards officiating.

Jennifer Thomas, Janet Sexton, Amanda Weeks, Mary Lynn Hayden, Tammy Lott, and Charlie Hoes will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Born on August 4, 1979, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of David “Bull” Durham and wife Mary Jo, and Barbara “Babs” Spivey Thorne, all of Moultrie, and the step-daughter of the late Deborah S. Durham.

Donna worked as a medical technician with Georgia Med Pro. She was a Christian and a member of Heritage Church.

More than anything, Donna loved time spent with her family and friends. She especially loved being with her boys, who held a special place in her heart. Whether sharing a meal, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying everyday moments together, those times meant the world to her. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and the memories she created with them will be cherished for years to come.

She enjoyed spending time at the beach and boating whenever she had the chance. An avid animal lover, she had a special place in her heart for all creatures and found great joy in caring for them.

She especially cherished the time spent with her close-knit circle of friends, sharing laughter and creating treasured memories at the beach, by the pool, and over their favorite Mexican meals.

Donna is survived by her sons, Will Edwards and Walker Edwards of Moultrie; her father, David “Bull” Durham and wife Mary Jo of Moultrie; her mother, Barbara “Babs” Spivey Thorne of Moultrie; her brothers, Drew Durham and wife Jordan, and Davis Durham and wife Laura Lee both of Moultrie; her sister, Diana Durham Stripling and husband Austin of Tifton; her nieces and nephews, Samuel Edwards, Joanna Durham, Simeon Durham, Bo Durham, Jubilee Durham, Anna Laura Durham, and Brooks Stripling; and her special friends Charlie Hoes and Jennifer Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Deborah Durham, who loved and raised her as her own and was truly more like a mother to her; her step-father, John E. Thorne; and her grandparents, William C. Durham and Nona Dell Durham, Crittenton Jubilee Smith and Alene Smith, and Simeon Spivey and Alice Spivey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Donna's memory to Serenity House, an organization dedicated to providing hope, shelter, and support to survivors of domestic violence.
