Dixie Cox

Dixie Waters Cox, 73, passed away on September 3, 2021 in the loving care of staff at PruittHealth – Moultrie. Dixie, also known as mom, nana, sis, Aunt Dixie, friend, and Bingo Lady will be fondly remembered for how she could light up a room with her radiant smile, beautiful laugh, and incredible sense of humor. Dixie is predeceased by her parents Frank and Twila Waters, her beloved husband Royce Cox, her brother Robert Waters and her sister Shela Waters Dozier. She is survived by her son Stuart “Butch” Jones, Jr. and wife Heather of Massachusetts; daughter Stacy Cox Conner of Nashville, Georgia; five grandsons: Bradley Jones, Dusty Conner, Austin Conner, Matthew Conner, and Jason Jones; brothers Ted, William “Bill”, and Steve Waters; sisters Vickie DuBois and Nita Kirkpatrick; and many nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held later.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the PruittHealth – Moultrie employees, the PruittHealth Hospice compassionate care team, and the many doctors and nurses of Colquitt Regional Medical Center for their selfless, unrelenting compassionate care.
