David Allen Hurst

David Allen Hurst, 59, of Sumner, passed away peacefully on, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Pine Level Free-Will Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Paulk’s Chapel in the Hurst Family Cemetery. Jamie Tillman, Greg Key, Bryan Paulk, Jason Hurst, Pat Porch, Chris Booth, Jake Hurst, and Glen Sapp will serve as pallbearers. Wade Hurst, JW Hurst, and Martin Hurst will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM.
Born on July 1, 1964, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of Nancy Marie Roberts Hurst and the late Lewis Milford Hurst. Mr. Hurst enjoyed doing construction work and was a member of Pine Level Free-Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Matthew David Hurst.
Mr. Hurst is survived by his wife, Pamella Kenille Tatum Hurst of Sumner; son, Mark Hurst of Sumner; daughter, Candace Ruth Lawson and husband Terry of Norman Park; grandchildren, Logan Lawson, and Anslee Lawson; stepmother, Myra Hurst of Scooterville; and sister, Rachel Railey and husband Zack of Enigma.
