David Figueroa Ruiz, de 86 años, de Moultrie, falleció el jueves 9 de julio de 2026 en su residencia.

Nacido el 5 de abril de 1940 en Villa Clara, Cuba, era hijo de los fallecidos Donatilo Figueroa y Santa Ruiz. David dedicó muchos años de su vida al trabajo en los campos de caña de azúcar en Cuba, donde desarrolló una sólida ética de trabajo y un profundo aprecio por el valor del esfuerzo honrado. Más adelante emigró a los Estados Unidos en busca de nuevas oportunidades, donde construyó una vida basada en la fe, la familia y la perseverancia hasta el momento de su jubilación.
David fue un Testigo de Jehová fiel y devoto. Su fe fue el fundamento de su vida, y encontraba gran consuelo y esperanza en las promesas de las Escrituras. Vivió siempre de acuerdo con sus creencias, siendo un ejemplo de humildad, bondad y fidelidad para todos los que lo conocieron.

David compartió un hermoso matrimonio con el amor de su vida, Eunice Aguila Guerra, quien le precedió en la muerte hace nueve años. Además de sus padres, le precedieron en la muerte su esposa, Eunice Aguila Guerra; hijos, Osmiel Figueroa Aguila y Isaia Figueroa Aguila; hija, Damari Figueroa Aguila; y sus hermanos Olga Figueroa, Julia Figueroa, María Figueroa, Jilberto Figueroa, Juanito Figueroa, Samuel Figueroa y Rolando Figueroa.
Le sobreviven sus hijos: David Figueroa Aguila y su esposa, Leyani; Samil Figueroa Aguila y su esposa, Xiomara; Jeremia Figueroa Aguila y su esposa, Noemí; y Mirka Figueroa Aguila y su esposo, Orsebil; además de Hiday Figueroa, Odaimi Figueroa, Lisday Duvergel, Disney Figueroa, Estefany Figueroa, Jennifer Figueroa, Leosdany Figueroa, Osmiel Figueroa, Osnier Figueroa, Ledian Figueroa y Kalet Figueroa; y sus doce bisnietos.

David Figueroa Ruiz, 86, of Moultrie, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born on April 5, 1940, in Villa Clara, Cuba, he was the son of the late Donatilo Figueroa and Santa Ruiz. David devoted many years of his life to working in the sugar cane fields of Cuba, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the value of honest labor. Later, he immigrated to the United States in search of new opportunities, where he built a life centered on faith, family, and perseverance until his retirement.
David was a faithful and devoted Jehovah's Witness. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he found great comfort and hope in the promises of the Scriptures. He lived in harmony with his beliefs, serving as an example of humility, kindness, and faithfulness to everyone who knew him.
Above all else, David was a devoted family man. His greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones, sharing conversations, offering encouragement, and creating lasting memories. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, humble nature, his deep love for his family, and the example he set through the way he lived.
David shared a wonderful marriage with the love of his life, Eunice Aguila Guerra, who preceded him in death nine years ago. He loved her deeply and always cherished the life they built together. Although he greatly mourned her passing, he held dear the memories they shared and maintained the hope, grounded in his faith, of seeing her again.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Aguila Guerra; his sons, Osmiel Figueroa Aguila and Isaia Figueroa Aguila; his daughter, Damari Figueroa Aguila; and his siblings, Olga Figueroa, Julia Figueroa, Maria Figueroa, Jilberto Figueroa, Juanito Figueroa, Samuel Figueroa, and Rolando Figueroa.
He is survived by his children, David Figueroa Aguila and wife, Leyani; Samil Figueroa Aguila and wife, Xiomara; Jeremia Figueroa Aguila and wife, Noemi; and Mirka Figueroa Aguila and husband, Orsebil; as well as Hiday Figueroa, Odaimi Figueroa, Lisday Duvergel, Disney Figueroa, Estefany Figueroa, Jennifer Figueroa, Leosdany Figueroa, Osmiel Figueroa, Osnier Figueroa, Ledian Figueroa, and Kalet Figueroa; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home and Crematory.
