Darwin Brown Presley, 82, of Moultrie, died on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Pruitt Health Magnolia Manor.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m.  on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Murphy Cemetery with Reverend Stanley Norman officiating.

Born on August 29, 1943, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Carl Brown Presley and Lenore Parham Presley. Mr. Darwin Presley devoted the majority of his working life to serving the City of Moultrie Gas Department, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and pride in his work. Through the years, he formed lasting friendships with his coworkers and earned the respect of those he served in the community. Darwin took great pride in helping keep the homes and businesses of Moultrie running safely and efficiently, and his commitment to his job reflected his deep love for the community he called home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Darwin Brian Presley; brothers and sisters, Donald Presley, Marshall Presley, Eula Fortner, and Maurine O’Kelley.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Jessica Presley Hayes and husband Michael of Moultrie; great-granddaughter, Melanie Stephens; brother, Darrell Presley and wife Marlene of Lagrange; sister, Delores McCoy and husband Marcine of Douglasville; sister-in-law, Javene Presley of Atlanta; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Arrangements entrusted to Baker Funeral Home and Crematory.
