Danny Joe Daniels

Danny Joe Daniels, 74, of Norman Park, died on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at his home.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Born on October 26, 1950, in Colquitt Co., Georgia, he was the son of the late Venable Joseph Daniels and Alma McCook Daniels. Danny had a deep love for the simple pleasures in life—catfish fishing on a quiet afternoon, the twang of classic country music, and the timeless charm of western movies. Many days were spent on the front porch, guitar in hand, cigarette in the other, listening to the music he loved and enjoying the world around him.

He was a talented guitar player and a true country soul, but above all, he loved his family fiercely. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with them, sharing stories, laughter, and love.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter Kaylee Knippoe; brother, Larry Daniels; and sisters, Betty Jean Aldridge and Patsy Ruth Brumbley.

Mr. Daniels is survived by his son, Gary Joe Daniels and wife Joan of Ohclocknee; daughters, Angela Johnson and husband Jerry of Norman Park, and Penny Perry and husband Keith of Valdosta; grandchildren, Greg Daniels, Brittany Daniels, Kevin Knippoe, Joshua Lee and Denim Gay; great-grandchildren, Sadie Holloway, Libby Holloway, and KK Holloway.
