Daniel Augustus Pye, Jr.

Daniel Augustus Pye, Jr., 90, of Doerun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Southwell Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:00am at Kimball Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia with Reverend Billy Wilkes officiating.

Born October 23, 1935, in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Daniel Augustus Pye, Sr. and Minnie Rose Ruis Pye. He was a farmer and owned his own trucking company.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Danny Pye and sisters; Mary Royal, Pat Patnod, and Bonnie Thompson.

Mr. Pye is survived by his wife, Myrtle Causey Pye of Doerun; daughters, Debbie Redding of Doerun and Sandy Moseley and husband, Gene of Covington, Georgia; 3 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren; and multiple great grandchildren.
