Daniel Antonio Álvarez, de 70 años, de Moultrie, falleció el jueves, 16 de abril de 2026, en el Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Los servicios fúnebres se celebrarán el sábado, 25 de abril de 2026, a las 3:00 p.m. en la capilla de Baker Funeral Home. El sepelio se llevará a cabo posteriormente en Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Nacido el 21 de julio de 1955 en Sabanita, Las Tunas, Cuba, fue hijo de Blanca Delia Mora y del difunto Dilberto Álvarez. Daniel fue un hombre trabajador desde temprano, comenzando su vida laboral como soldador, oficio que reflejaba su dedicación y ganas de salir adelante. Con el tiempo encontró su verdadera pasión en la carretera, desempeñándose como camionero de largas distancias, algo que disfrutaba muchísimo. Para él, manejar no era solo un trabajo, sino una libertad, una manera de vivir.

Fuera del trabajo, Daniel era un hombre alegre, lleno de vida y con un espíritu contagioso. Le encantaba el béisbol, viajar y compartir buenos momentos dondequiera que estuviera. También tenía un amor especial por la música; disfrutaba cantar y tocar la guitarra, alegrando a todos los que lo rodeaban.

Pero por encima de todo, Daniel fue un hombre de fe firme. Su mayor pasión era predicar, ya fuera desde el podio o en las calles, compartiendo su mensaje con amor y convicción. Como Testigo de Jehová, vivió guiado por su fe y dedicó gran parte de su vida al ministerio. Participó en cinco viajes de apoyo voluntarios a la obra de perdiccion en República Dominicana, donde dejó una huella muy especial en muchas personas.

Daniel era conocido por su gran personalidad y su enorme corazón. Disfrutaba la vida al máximo, pero su mayor tesoro siempre fue su familia. Su presencia, su bondad y su fe inquebrantable serán profundamente extrañadas por todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.

Además de su padre, fue precedido en muerte por su hermana, Mirta Álvarez.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Digna Pérez Álvarez de Moultrie; sus hijos, Dismer Álvarez y su esposa Yarelis, y Dusniel Álvarez y su esposa Lucenda, ambos de Moultrie; su hija, Dina Álvarez de Moultrie; su madre, Blanca Delia Mora de Cuba; sus nietos, Josiah Escobar, Jeziel Escobar y su esposa Allison, Raquel Álvarez, Rebecca Álvarez, Zayli Álvarez, Darian Álvarez, Daniel Álvarez, Sara Álvarez, Joshua Álvarez y Geraldo Álvarez; sus hermanos, Manuel Álvarez y Rodolfo Álvarez; además de varios sobrinos, sobrinas y demás familiares queridos.

Daniel Antonio Alvarez, 70, of Moultrie, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Born on July 21, 1955, in Sabanita, Las Tunas, Cuba, he was the son of Blanca Delia Mora and the late Dilberto Alvarez. Daniel was a hardworking man from an early age, beginning his career as a welder, a trade that reflected his dedication and determination to succeed. In time, he found his true passion on the open road, working as an over-the-road truck driver, something he truly enjoyed. For him, driving was more than just a job—it was freedom and a way of life.

Outside of work, Daniel was a joyful man, full of life with a contagious spirit. He loved baseball, traveling, and making memories wherever he went. He also had a deep love for music and enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, bringing happiness to those around him.

Above all, Daniel was a man of strong faith. His greatest passion was preaching, whether from the podium or out on the streets, sharing his message with love and conviction. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he lived guided by his faith and devoted much of his life to the ministry. He participated in five volunteer mission trips supporting the preaching work in the Dominican Republic, where he left a lasting impact on many lives.

Daniel was known for his big personality and even bigger heart. He enjoyed life to the fullest, but his greatest treasure was always his family. His presence, kindness, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mirta Alvarez.

Mr. Alvarez is survived by his wife, Digna Perez Alvarez of Moultrie; sons, Dismer Alvarez and wife Yarelis, and Dusniel Alvarez and wife Lucenda, both of Moultrie; daughter, Dina Alvarez of Moultrie; mother, Blanca Delia Mora of Cuba; grandchildren, Josiah Escobar, Jeziel Escobar and wife Allison, Raquel Alvarez, Rebecca Alvarez, Zayli Alvarez, Darian Alvarez, Daniel Alvarez, Sara Alvarez, Joshua Alvarez, and Geraldo Alvarez; brothers, Manuel Alvarez and Rodolfo Alvarez; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home and Crematory.
