Dalton Ansel Gandy, Jr.

Dalton Ansel Gandy, Jr., 78, of Moultrie, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 27, 2026, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with the Reverend Stanley Norman officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born on January 28, 1948, in Pelham, Georgia, Mr. Gandy was the son of the late Dalton Ansel Gandy, Sr. and Mildred Burt Gandy. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before beginning a career with Delphi, a division of General Motors Parts, where he worked for more than 30 years until his retirement.

Mr. Gandy found his greatest joy outdoors. He loved spending time fishing and hunting, with duck hunting being one of his favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed automotive racing and was, in every sense of the word, a country boy at heart. He appreciated the simple things in life and was happiest when he was outdoors doing what he loved.

Mr. Gandy is survived by his wife, Kittie Sue Arnett Gandy of Moultrie, and his son, Travis Ansel Gandy of Moultrie.
