Craig Durane Weldon

Craig Durane Weldon, 59, of Moultrie, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023, with Pastor Ricky McLaughlin officiating. Interment will be held at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Taylor Kidd, Benjamin McLaughlin, Skip Pannell, Keith Weldon, Kohlton Kidd, and Travis Kirkman will all serve as pallbearers.
Born on October 20, 1963, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of Doris Ruis Weldon and the late Clem Cecil Weldon. Mr. Weldon was the owner of Veterans Asphalt Maintenance Co. He was also a member of Moultrie Church of God. Mr. Weldon was an avid golfer who enjoyed spending many days on the greens. He enjoyed playing his guitar and loved bluegrass music. Isaiah 40:31 “ But they that wait upon the LORD, shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” was his favorite bible verse. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother who will be truly missed.
In addition to his mother, Doris Ruis Weldon of Moultrie, he is survived by his loved and cherished wife, Tonya Simpson Weldon of Moultrie; his daughters, Kinley Weldon, Shayla McLaughlin and husband Benjamin, and Emily Kidd and husband Taylor, all of Moultrie; grandson, Kohlton Kidd; brothers, Keith Weldon and Kirk Weldon, both of Moultrie; sister, Lisa Weldon Kirkman and husband Travis of Springville, Indiana; nieces, Whitney and Natalie Kirkman; and his beloved fur-babies, Leo and CoCo Weldon.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday, April 17, 2023, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
