Claude Lord

Claude Olen Lord, Jr., 80, of Moultrie, died at home on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Berlin Baptist Church with Pastor Christian Edwards and Reverend Danny Moree officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born on August 19, 1944, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Claude Olen Lord, Sr., and Evelyn Payne Lord Croft. He dedicated his career to Procter & Gamble, where he worked diligently as a supervisor until his well-earned retirement.

Beyond his professional life, Mr. Lord was a faithful servant of the Lord and an active member of Berlin Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. His unwavering faith and commitment to his church family were evident in his service and kindness to others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Hall.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Linda Murphy Lord; son, Claude Olen Lord, III of Moultrie; daughter, Denise Lord Edwards and husband Wayne of Moultrie; grandchildren, Chris Naquin, Cory Lord and wife Kayla, Christian Edwards and wife Anna, Micah Edwards and wife Brittany; great-grandchildren, Skyla Naquin, Noah Naquin, Aslan Edwards, Roman Edwards, Moses Edwards, Selah Edwards, Ezrah June Edwards, Bearett Lord, Reign Edwards and Beckham Edwards; brother, Danny M. Lord and wife JoAnne of California; sisters, Lisa Crapps and husband Max of Cairo and Frances Barlow of South Carolina; brother in law, Charles Hall of Berlin; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Berlin Baptist Church, 312 Langford St, Berlin, GA 31722.
