Charles Freddie "Buddy" Harrell

Charles Freddie “Buddy” Harrell, 83, of Norman Park, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, with Reverend Jim Horne officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Born on June 10, 1943, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Laura Lanelle Register Harrell and Joe Cecil Harrell.

Buddy graduated from Moultrie High School and proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked as a butcher at Piggly Wiggly. Buddy never met a stranger, and his friendly nature made him easy to know and love. He enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as gardening and fishing. He will be remembered for his kind heart, love for his family, and the friendships he made along the way.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ruby Barlow Harrell; daughters, Georgianne Harrell and Marianne Johnson, and husband, Tremayne; sister, Tammy Perryman Harrell and husband, Bobby; step-grandchildren, Stephen Johnson and Shantevia Johnson; special pets, Suzi and Maxx; grandpups, Luna and Lily; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Harrell and Jimmy Harrell, and his sister, Shirley Harrell.
