Charles Alvis Benton, Sr.

Charles Alvis Benton, Sr., 80, of Norman Park, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Alvis was born on November 30, 1945, in Thomasville, Georgia, to the late Willie Lee Benton and Estelle NeSmith Benton. He worked as a truck driver for Southern AG and served in the United States Navy.

Mr. Benton is survived by his wife Ernestine Kendall Benton of Norman Park; and sons, Charles A. Benton, Jr. and Clinton Lee Benton.
