Cellie Houman

Cellie Hendrix Houman, 96, of Doerun, Georgia, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Houman was born on July 17, 1929, in Franklin, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Lee Thomas Henddrix and Dora Shellnut Hendrix. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, New York.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Julius Houman; son, Larry Houman; daughter, Glenda Houman; granddaughter, Keri Santiago, and 13 siblings.

Mrs. Houman is survived by her son, Mike Houman and wife, Eileen of Doerun; grandchildren, Lindsey Matthews, Travis Houman and wife Sabrina, Lorrie Houghtaling, James Houghtaling, Candy Sarna and husband Puneet, Cynthia Edmonds and husband Farrell, Larry Houman, Jr., Carolynn Grossman and husband Richard; great-grandchildren, Aidan Matthews, Jesse Matthews, Alyssa Houman, T. J. Houman, Michael Sheldon, Giya Sarna, Christina Devlin, Danielle Mann, John Isaacs, Sara Edmonds, Elizabeth Edmonds, Ian Edmonds, Charolette Edmonds, Christopher Colton, Jayson Colton, Caitlyn Grossman, Miguel Santiago, Nathan Santiago, Soliel Santiago, James Houghtaling; and 7 great-great grandchildren
