Catherine Jolene Bryant Burdette

Catherine Jolene Bryant Burdette, 82, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on November 20, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, with Reverend Julian Griner and Reverend Matt Peek officiating. A family-only service will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens in Moultrie, Georgia. Kirk Friedlander, John Thomas Carter Jr., Hamilton Garner, Tim Kelshaw, Steve Vick, and Doug Yarbrough will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Baker Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Born on January 12, 1943, in Bainbridge, Georgia, Jolene was the daughter of the late Irvin Bryant Jr. and Madge Pope Bryant. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be remembered for her generous spirit and kind heart. Jolene was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Moultrie. She served for many years as the leader of a Girls in Action group and faithfully attended her Sunday School class, the Peacemakers, where she also served as Treasurer. Jolene was a woman of deep faith who dearly loved her church and church family.

For nearly forty years, Jolene poured her heart into the Mattco Realtors team and the Friedlander family. Her dedication ran deep, and she was known not only as a hardworking professional but as someone who truly loved her work. Even well into her 80s, she found joy and purpose in her role. Over the years, she wore many hats—beginning as a secretary and eventually serving as Vice President of Mattco Associates and Mattco Realtors—leaving her mark on every role she filled.

Jolene was married to her husband, Franklin Burdette, for 63 years. She was a devoted wife and mother, and nothing mattered more to her than her family. She expressed her love through her famous homemade pound cakes and cherished life’s simple joys—dark chocolate, shopping trips with her granddaughters, cheering on the Packers, lunches with friends at Three Crazy Bakers, collecting blue-and-white chinoiserie, reading, and Christmas meals gathered around her dining table. She was a gentle and generous presence, a treasured member of her community.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Franklin Burdette, of Moultrie, Georgia; one son, Ronald Irvin Burdette and wife Dedra; one daughter, Tracey Burdette Kelshaw and husband Tim, all of Moultrie; grandchildren Kristina Kenyon, Ashley Yarbrough (Doug), Lauren Carter (J.T.), and Reagan Priest (Riley); great-grandchildren Nicholas Land, Macie Dell, Ty Yarbrough, Colton Yarbrough, Hadley Yarbrough, Wren Carter, and Hayes Carter; brother, Morris Bryant and wife Patricia; sister, Janell Bryant Miracle and husband Ron; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have offered prayers, support, and kindness during this time. Jolene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
