Carol Jean Wimberly Saturday, 61, of Moultrie, passed away, Saturday, December 11, 2021.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. James Pendell, Rev. Walter Mingledorff, and Rev. Ike Branch officiating. Private family burial will be held Friday, December 17, 2021. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
Born March 11, 1960, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Herman David Wimberly and Cornelia Joyce Wimberly. She was retired from the Colquitt County Board of Education where she served as payroll supervisor for 36 years. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, where she served faithfully as the pianist for 45 years and the church secretary for the past 7 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Saturday; and brothers-in-law, David Saturday, Kenneth M. Saturday, and a Lorin Riddle.
Mrs. Saturday is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Saturday (Kameron) of Moultrie, brother, Larry Wimberly (Lavonia) of Moultrie; sister, Vickie J. Riddle of Valdosta; niece, Lisa Wimberly Croom (Barry); nephews, Kevin Wimberly, Chris Saturday (Emily), Ben Saturday (Sonya), great-nieces and nephews, Katie Wimberly (Pedro), Carrie Grace Wimberly, Will Harrison, Kara Beth Saturday, Kaitlyn Poag, Isabelle Poag, and Skyler Saturday; great great nephew, Beckham Luna; and special friend, Justin Sullins (Tavi).
