Carl Walker

Carl Walker, 72, of Moultrie, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at his residence surrounded by family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Julian Griner officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born on March 19, 1954, in Mitchell County. He was the son of Clyde Hansel Walker, Sr, and Delphine Laverne Tatum Walker. Mr. Walker was a hardworking farmer who dedicated many years to working at Pineywoods Farms. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time at the beach. He took great pride in his yard and enjoyed working outside to keep it looking its best. A huge NASCAR fan, Mr. Walker especially enjoyed watching Dale Earnhardt Sr., who was his favorite driver. These simple pleasures brought him much happiness and created many cherished memories throughout his life.

Along with his parents, Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas Hansel Walker, Gene Walker, James Ivey Walker, and Harry Lee Walker.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Mercer Walker; son, Tim Walker; daughter, Angie Kimbrell and husband, Thomas; brothers, Ronald Walker, Donald Walker, Johnny Ray Walker, and Clyde Hansel Walker, Jr.; sister, Rosa Mae Robinson and Delphina Ann Dickerson and husband W. F., and Joyce Horne; grandchildren, Tyler Bannister and wife Samantha, Brady Bannister, Lauren Hunt, Tanner Walker Holcomb, Alex Walker Holcomb, Gavin Kimbrell, Emma Walker, Dillon Walker, and Journey Kimbrell; great-grandchildren, Maddox Bannister and Olivia Bannister; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Baker Funeral Home and Crematory.
