Calvin R. Kirkland

Calvin Roger Kirkland, 84, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, November 27, 2023, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Chaplin Mike Horton officiating. Inurnment will follow at Baker Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born on February 21, 1939, in Douglas, Georgia. He was the son of the late Roy Kirkland and Mabel Saltz Kirkland. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was the owner of Rogers Carpet Outlet. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Kirkland is preceded in death by his wife, Christine Lott Kirkland; son, Max Kirkland; and brother, Kenneth Nelson Kirkland.
Mr. Kirkland is survived by his daughter, Gayle Horton and husband Mike of Moultrie; grandchildren, Victoria Smith and husband Michael of North Carolina, Olivia Horton of Moultrie, Pierce Horton and Patricia Foster of Moultrie, Gavin Cooper of Moultrie, Rylan Hummons of Moultrie; great-grandson, Elijah James Horton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
