Brenda Gail Lightsey

Brenda Gail Lightsey, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 13, 2026.  

She treasured her family and enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, and making memories with her grandbabies. Brenda's love, kindness, laughter, and strength will be deeply missed. 

She is survived by her daughters, Tracy Lightsey of Norman Park, Georgia; Lori Gregory and her husband, Kerry, of Bartow, Florida; and Angie Sherrouse and her husband, Brian "Bubba" of Winter Haven, Florida; five grandchildren, Megan, Kylee, Reva, Alex, and Kaleb; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Debbie Foreman, and nephew, Brian Foreman of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and many extended family members and dear friends. 

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, John D. and Dorothy N. Stinson of Bartow, Florida, and her brother, Gary Stinson of Alabama.

In accordance with her wishes, Brenda will be cremated, and her ashes will remain with her family.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Cancer Society of America or the COPD Foundation. 

Brenda's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be forever missed and deeply loved.
