Bobby Joe Johnson

Bobby Joe Johnson, 73, of Moultrie, died Sunday, August 30, 2020, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Autreyville Baptist Church with Rev. Robert McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The Deacons of Autreyville Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday school class.
Born on October 29, 1946, in Thomas Co., Georgia, he was the son of the late William Grady Johnson and Alice Mattie Hurst Johnson. He retired as Postmaster with over 48 years of service. He was a member of Autreyville Baptist Church for 35 years where he served as a Deacon and taught Sunday school.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Gail Chastain Johnson of Moultrie; daughters, Lisa Johnson Weaver and husband Mark of Thomasville, GA, and Brenda Johnson Alderman and husband David of Moultrie, GA; brothers, Ronnie Johnson and wife Linda of Thomasville, GA, Wayne Johnson and wife Becky of Thomasville, GA, and David Johnson of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Kristi Ambrose and husband Jordon of Thomasville, GA, Chelsea Roberts and husband C.J of Thomasville, GA, Kayla Gay and husband Chris of Doerun, GA, Regan Young and husband Brian of Moultrie, GA, and Peyton Alderman of Moultrie, GA; great grandchildren, Riley, Jace, and Cason Ambrose, Laiken, Gavin, and River Roberts, Jon David and Kimber Gay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 6p.m.-7p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home and on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 2p.m.-3p.m. at Autreyville Baptist Church.
