Born on July 1, 1936, in Colquitt County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Junious Weaver and Louise Hunnicutt Weaver. A man of the soil and the heart, Billy found his greatest joys in farming and nurturing both his crops and his loved ones.
Billy’s love for the land was a lifelong passion. From sunrise to sunset, he dedicated himself to cultivating the earth, finding fulfillment in the simple beauty of hard work and nature’s rhythms. But more than his love for farming, Billy’s heart belonged to his family. He cherished the time spent with them, whether it was sharing meals, teaching life lessons, or simply enjoying each other’s company. His laughter and wisdom will remain a guiding light for those he leaves behind.
Billy had a deep love for the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature’s beauty. Whether it was a quiet morning on the lake or tracking game in the woods, he found peace and fulfillment in these moments. Billy was also an avid baseball fan, and his passion for the sport was infectious. He loved cheering on his favorite teams, sharing stories about the game, and spending time at the ballpark with loved ones. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Gregory Weaver; brothers, Jimmy Weaver, Emory Weaver, and Junious “Sonny” Weaver, Jr.
He is survived by his son, Tony Weaver of Norman Park; daughter, Teri Weaver Baker and husband Ronnie of Lenox; grandchildren, Ron Baker, Macie Jackson and husband Hal of Thomasville, Beckie Summerlin and husband Andrew; great grandchildren, Maylla Patrick, Anna Patrick, Addi Summerlin, and Rhys Summerlin, Kaitlyn Jackson, and Sydney Jackson; and sisters, Margaret Ann Sumner and Brenda Hartsfield, both of Norman Park.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
