Betty Jean Jackson Watkins-Thompson

Betty Jean Jackson Watkins-Thompson, 82, of Tifton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
A private family service will be held. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Born on March 12, 1941, in Colquitt, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Harrison Jackson and Irene Broom Jackson. She worked as an engineer for Southern Bell and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Edmondson Clark and Edna Cordell.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, Earl Thompson of Tifton; sons, James H. Watkins II and wife Arlene of Warner Robins, and Christopher H. Watkins and wife Sherry of Dunn, NC.; daughter, Lynn Watkins Peavy and husband Von of Moultrie; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
