Annie Joyce Tillman Tyson, 91, of Moultrie, died at her home on Friday, May 22, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 29, 2026, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Marlon Daniels and Reverend Julian Griner officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Born on June 16, 1934, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Jack Tillman and Martha Ida Pitts Tillman. Mrs. Tyson retired from Southwest Georgia Bank after more than 29 years of dedicated service, along with an additional year working part-time. During her career, she served faithfully as both a bank teller and commercial loan administrator, earning the respect and appreciation of her coworkers and customers alike through her strong work ethic, kindness, and attention to detail.
Committed to lifelong learning, Mrs. Tyson also attended classes at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College for a year and a half, where she was recognized as an honor student. She took great pride in her education and valued the opportunities it provided her both personally and professionally.
Mrs. Tyson will be remembered for her dedication, quiet strength, and the care she showed to those around her throughout her life and career.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Hoyt Tyson; daughter, Vicky Elaine Tyson; brothers, Curtis Tillman and Etheridge Tillman; and her sister, Louise Daily.
She is survived by her son, Michael Hoyt Tyson; sister, Mary Suber; her special cat, Callie Tyson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home & Crematory.
