Alita Powell Hobby

Alita Powell Hobby, 79, of Moultrie, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Pruitt Health.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Horne officiating. Interment will follow at Leila Church Cemetery. Tyson Hobby, Turner Hobby, Josh Roberts, Brook Ulm, Brayden Kleine, and Brody Kleine will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Born on July 26, 1946, in Washington, D.C. She was the daughter of the late Marvin Junior Powell and Sarah Wanelle Weeks Powell. Mrs. Hobby worked at Riverside Manufacturing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Rodney Hobby.

Mrs. Hobby is survived by her son, Travis Hobby and wife Mandy of Omega; daughters, Rhonda Ulm of Adel, Tanya Kleine and husband, Rocky of Ty Ty; brother, Marty Powell and wife Kathy of Omega; sisters, Janet Golden and husband, Don of Omega, and Cathy Davis and husband, Ferrell of Tifton; grandchildren, Jacob Hobby, Jonathan Hobby, Tyson Hobby, Turner Hobby, Josh Roberts and wife, Heather, Briannah Gaffney and husband, Skyllair, Brook Ulm, Kelsey Luke and husband, David, McKenzie Hernandez and husband, Jr., Brayden Kleine, Brooklyne Kleine, Brody Kleine, Breiley Kleine; great-grandchildren, Lily Roberts, Kayden Murray, Karter Luke, Delanie Luke, Costa Hernandez, Sarah Hernandez, Gabriel Hernandez, and Dallas Kleine.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leila Church Cemetery Fund.
