Albert LaVaughn Whitfield

Albert LaVaughn Whitfield, 67, of Colquitt County, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022.
Mr. Whitfield was born on November 5, 1955, in Moultrie, Georgia, to the late Albert Asbury Whitfield and Eunice Hancock Whitfield. He was a retired mechanic and was of the Baptist Faith. Albert was a kind and gentle soul, especially towards animals and most especially his beloved cat, Luke. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and fishing on the Altamaha River. He was a gifted artist who was adept at painting landscapes. He graduated from Moultrie High School, class of '73, and attended South Georgia State College in Douglas. He had a love for his family, friends, and Astrology.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his soul mate of 25 years, Linda Endenfield; a sister, Carolyn Whitfield Hurst.
Survivors include his son, Gaelen Whitfield and wife Kelsey of Valdosta; daughter, Chelsea Ahnberg and husband Cole of Portland, Oregon; grandchildren, Eli Whitfield, Avery Whitfield, and Miette Whitfield; sisters, Ann Glass and husband Billy of Moultrie, Gwen Lott and husband Danny of Colbert; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
