Thomas Jerry Watson (Tom) made his departure for heaven on Thursday April 30, 2020 at 3:15 PM.  Tom was born on January 27, 1947 in Avon Park, Florida. His parents were William Henry and Jimmie Iona Watson of Avon Park, they preceded him in death.

Tom left home at an early age to work on a horse farm in Avon Park, Florida. He would spend his life devoted to Equine Management. He worked for numerous Racing Quarter Horse Trainers and traveled all over the United States taking special care of race horses. He has many pictures of horses in the winners circle that were under his care. He had a special touch in the care of horses and also animals in general. Tom worked for Clay Neal Racing Quarter Horses which brought him to Dothan Alabama where he would manage their Livestock Auction. After a few years he would join up with The Rusty Guy Family and become the barn manager of Rusty Guy Horse Sales for 30 years. He became a chosen member of the Guy Family. He spent the last 18 years in Pavo, Georgia caring for the horses of Lanier-Guy Livestock.

Tom was active in his community and had a heart of gold. He loved to share with others whatever he could. He was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church while living in Dothan and moved his letter to Salem Baptist Church when he moved to Pavo Georgia. He served several terms as President of Dothan Boots and Saddle Club and was elected to be a life time member.

Tom is survived by brothers James Watson(Donna) and William Watson (Betty). He is also survived by sisters Laura Fillinger (Ray)  and Ruth Watson (Richard), all live in Lakeland Florida. He was preceded in death by
two brothers Henry Michael Watson and Rex Alan Watson, Sr.

Due to the Covid-19 virus, a private ceremony will be held with a memorial at a later date
