Mary Elizabeth Thompson Belcher, 84, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021, at Legacy Village. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 4, 2021, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. John Belcher, Andrew Belcher, Corey Bryant, Ron Cross, Matt Belcher, Jeb Griffin, A.J Hood, Chad McDaniel, and Chase Lundy will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. She was born in Moultrie, Georgia on April 18, 1937 to the late Carl T. & Birtle Thompson of Moultrie.   She lived in Moultrie all of her life.  Mary was raised on a farm with her parents & siblings.  She was married to the late Henry Franklin Belcher for 62 years & together they had four children.  She was a supervisor at Riverside Manufacturing Company & had retired after 30 years.  Mary was a talented seamstress & a wonderful cook.  Her love & dedication to her family will be remembered as her gift of giving to others unselfishly.  Mary loved working in the yard & had some very beautiful roses & flowers.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt & friend to so many.  She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.      Mary was predeceased by her parents; Husband - Henry Franklin Belcher; a son - Steve Belcher; 2 brothers - Jack Thompson & Bobby Thompson; 1 sister - Lucille Thompson; son-in-law - Ricky Bryant; Sisters-in laws & numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.      Her surviving family members are: Daughter & spouse - Myra & Rodney Cross of Quitman, Ga.;   Daughter - Betty Bryant of Moultrie,Ga.;  Son & spouse - Robert & Cindy Belcher of Moultrie, Ga.; Daughter-in-law - Martha Bynum Belcher of Moultrie, Ga.       Grandchildren & spouses - Ron & Ashley Cross of Valdosta, Ga.;John & Chrissie Belcher of Augusta, Ga.; Andrew & Shannon Belcher of Pelham, Ga.; Stephanie & Chase Lundy of Macon, Ga.; Dawn & Jeb Griffin of Norman Park, Ga.; Corey & Nikki Bryant of Hartsfield, Ga.; Matt Belcher of Doerun, Ga.; Savannah & AJ Hood of Moultrie, Ga.      Great-grandchildren - Kate, Juliette & Bennett Cross; Josiah, Leah Claire & Titus Belcher; Addison Belcher; Ella Rose Lundy; Gage & Madelyn Griffin; Walker Bryant; Hadlyn & Trevor Hood.     Step-grandchildren & spouses - Chad & Stacie McDaniel of Moultrie, Ga.; Derek & Katelyn McDaniel of Moultrie, Ga.      Step-great grandchildren - Cayden Collins, Aubrey, London & Landis McDaniel; Addie & Bailey Connell; Madison & Dalton McDaniel; Lyla Skeen.      Sister-in-law & brother-in-law - Edna & Joe Shanahan of Glen Burnie, MD; Sisters-in-law - Shirley Belcher of Dothan, AL; Judy Belcher of Pulaski, VA; Brother-in-law - Charles Henning of Sarasota, FL;  Numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their thanks to Legacy Village staff, Colquitt Regional Hospice, and her friends at Legacy Village for their care, love, and support during her few months there. The family will be at the home of Robert and Cindy Belcher; 2401 Sumner road Moultrie, GA 31788 Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
