Jason McCollum

Jason Chad McCollum, 44, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in Moultrie.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Caleb Davis officiating. He will be laid to rest at Old Prospect Church Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia.

Born on May 21, 1978, in Hahira, Georgia, he was the son of Mary Aileen McCollum and the late Jerry Wayne Melton. Mr. McCollum was employed with J & J Roofing Company and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Preston Johnson; grandparents, Hazel Lewis, and Hershel McCollum.

Mr. McCollum is survived by his mother, Mary Aileen McCollum, and husband Bernardo Hernandez of Norman Park; daughters, Mykenzie Ramsey who was expecting his first grandchild, Abby Vinson, and Madison Jenkins all of Moultrie; brothers, Rocky Cisneros, and wife Erica and their child of Moultrie, Gaylon McCollum and his child; sisters, Adriana Gomez and significant other Erik Gandy and their children, Kayla Johnson and significant other Mike Robison and their child; best friend, Justin and Nikki Harris of Moultrie; and the mother of his children, Crystal Ramsey of Moultrie.

Visitation will be held one hour before the service in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
