Earnest Edwin Donald, 73, of Omega, passed away, on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cecilia Donald of Omega; sons, Stacey Donald & fiancée Crystal Chastain of Winder, GA, and Jeremy & Donna Donald of Tuscaloosa, AL; grandchildren, Connor Donald, Madilyn-Rose Donald, Alex Donald, Cassandra Donald & Natalie Donald; sister, Mary Bennett and husband Tony of Omega, and Walter Donald of Lyons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Evelyn Donald; and brother Bill Donald. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 14, 2022, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Donald, Stacey Donald, and Rev. Brad Bowen officiating. Interment will follow at Omega Cemetery. Kevin Donald, Travis Bennett, Jason Wiley, Wesley Wills, Alex Donald, and Duane Fallin will serve as pallbearers. Loui Hood, Lee Morris, Tim Sanders, Ken Demott, Paul Clark, Steven Wiley, and Dennis Wiley will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Baker Funeral Home. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all those involved in Mr. Donald’s medical care and they would like to thank Regency Southern Care for their ministry of hospice care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made to Breathe Ministries of Heritage Church P.O. Box 2995, Moultrie, GA 31776. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
