Billie Mechelle Murphy

Billie Mechelle Newman Murphy, 52, of Moultrie, died Monday, October 22, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Stephan Massey officiating. Interment followed at Hopewell Church Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Shawn Padgett, Robin Butler, Tim Pope, Mike Fallin, Tony Reynolds, and Chris Fallin.
Born on September 3, 1966, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of Mary Elizabeth McMurphy Newman and the late Robert Lee Newman. She was an accountant with L&M Produce and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her mother, Mary Elizabeth McMurphy Newman, survivors include her son, Brandon Ambers Murphy and Destiny Griffin of Coolidge; daughter, Brandy Mechelle Jackson and husband Josh of Moultrie; grandchild, Ivy Rayne Jackson; brother, Robert Lee Newman, Jr. and wife Patty of Moultrie; sisters, Rebecca Ann Fallin and husband Mike of Coolidge, Mary Renell Newman and husband Robin of Moultrie, and Sherri LaRane Padgett and husband Shawn of Moultrie.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 2pm - 3pm, one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
